Shades of Phoenix - Weird & Wonderful Flavors collection - Taped mani

The other day I got a parcel of Shades of Phoenix polishes that I ordered during a flash sale. I had been eyeing off quite a few of their polishes for a while, so I jumped on the opportunity to add some to my growing Aussie Indie stash (the was before my no-buy, which I have since broken, whoops).

I ended up buying two collections, the 'Up All Night' trio and the 'Weird & Wonderful Flavors' trio. This nail art was created using two of the colours from the weird and wonderful collection. They are amazing and I'm loving this look so much so there are a heap of images if you click read more!

The polishes I used here are a base of Pixie Snot, topped with Earl Grey. Pixie Snot is a purplish blue based polish with various pink,  purple and blue glitters which I applied in three coats. Earl Grey is a beautiful silvery grey polish with an iridescent blueish shimmer to it. It took one thickish layer to be opaque over Pixie Snot. Earl Grey paired really well with Pixie Snot due to it's shimmer. I will do proper swatches of this collection at a later date.

To get this design, I used stripping tape from the Born Pretty Store to mark off my nails. I then applied Earl Grey and quickly removed the tape. I topped the whole thing with HK girl top coat and added studs also from the Born Pretty Store.  Once again I am in love with this design and am going to be sad when I have to remove it!
