Speckled Eggs Nail Art

Some more Easter nails for you today. These were inspired by speckled eggs but are a bit of a fail. For whatever reason the chevron stripes just didn't turn out right. Also I was pushing it for light when I took the pictures so picture quality is also quite low...but whatever! I must attempt to post all nail art attempts.

Isosceles Triangles!

This nail art is deceptively simple looking, but I actually spent most my day doing them. I blame the cold weather and my impatience for this, but in the end, they turned out awesome! I am loving these triangle studs and marked triangles. Triangles are definitely a new favourite thing for me, they kind of look like arrows pointing in the direction my nails need to grow haha.

Sparkly Chevron

This design was not what I had intended. I wanted something cute and delicate to go with the nail shield on my ring finger, but nope, that didn't happen. Instead I kind of ended up with edgy party nails that I'm not sure are working for me. Sure, I like the chevron, but with the nail shield I think it's a tad over the top. But you can decide for yourself.

Freckles Nail Art

Not really sure what to call this nail art. It kind of reminds me of donuts but that wasn't intentional. I did these with no plan and they kind of came out pretty cool.

Nautical Chevron's

I don't think I've ever done a nautical themed nail art before. That's rather remiss of me so after receiving some cool nautical themed water decals from the born pretty store, I decided to rectify the issue.

#31DC2014 - Day 26 - Inspired by a Pattern

Ah my nails accidentally grew shorter! Or I may have had to cut them all off because I'm not so good at DIY involving sharp objects.. Anyway, I like short nails and so it's kind of whatever to me. On these new short nails I had to try to catch up on the 31 day challenge, so here is day 27 - Inspired by a Pattern.

#31DC2014 - Day 18 - Half Moons

It's half moon nails today. It's not a very inspiring prompt but then I heard it was my little cousins 8th birthday today. Inspiration hit in way of some colourful party like bunting. I kind of like how it turned out so thanks for the inspiration Xav.

I love me some stripes and today's stripes are no different. I've done a couple of striped nail designs before and I've been fairly happy with all of them including today's!

#31DC2014 - Day 11 - Polka Dots

Made it to day 11 and the more complex challenges, not that Polka dots are really that complex. I wanted to try something a bit different instead of simple polka dots, but I'm not sure this look is really working for me.

#31DC2014 - Day 10 - Gradient

Today's challenge was gradient nails. I've been wanting to try a scaled gradient as inspired by Simply Nailogical, for a while, so I thought today's prompt would be a great chance to try this design.

#31D2014 - Day 9 - Rainbow (+pictorial)

Rainbow nails! Rainbow's just make me so happy and these nails are definitely doing that. I had a really firm picture in mind for these so I'm really please with how they turned out.
