Let's cross sparkles off the list...

This nail art is what occurs when you screw up one design but are too lazy to completely redo what you were working on. For me, this was a massive fail and no where near as easy as I thought it was going to be, especially because I was using nail vinyls. But whatever, I've made myself to promise almost all the nail art I produce, and so here you go.

Sideways Armoured Ruffian

In keeping with the theme, today's nails had to be pink but I wanted to give them a little edge. I did that literally by way of a sideways ruffian and studs because who said pink can't be edgy.

Summer Fruits

It's finally feeling a lot more like summer! Yesterday was 40 something degrees which, if I'm being honest, is actually probably too hot but yay sun. Anyway in celebration here is some summer fruit nail art just in time for the warm weather.

Nautical Chevron's

I don't think I've ever done a nautical themed nail art before. That's rather remiss of me so after receiving some cool nautical themed water decals from the born pretty store, I decided to rectify the issue.

#31DC2014 - Day 14 - Flowers

FLOWER POWER! Or GRANDMA'S WALLPAPER POWER! As my brother thinks these sort of look like wallpaper you'd find at your granny's house. I disagree with him though, because surely if you're going to make floral wallpaper, you'd actually make your flowers look like flowers.

#31DC2014 - Day 10 - Gradient

Today's challenge was gradient nails. I've been wanting to try a scaled gradient as inspired by Simply Nailogical, for a while, so I thought today's prompt would be a great chance to try this design.

#31DC2014 - Day 3 - Yellow

Day 3 of #31DC2014, so far so good. I'd like to thank my mum for coming up with the idea of painting Woodstock from the Snoopy comics as an accent nail, it turned out awkward but cute!

Bumble Bee Nail Art

If you know me at all, you would know I have a thing for bees. My name Melissa, in Greek, means honey bee and ever since I was little I've always enjoyed cute bee related items. Therefore when I had the opportunity to do some bee nails for an instagram competition, I jumped on it.

Ducky Polish Glitter Gradient

Hello and welcome to my new blog, again. This is my third nail art blog I have started and I promise it will be the last one. Some of you may be wondering where the name Clavum es originates from. Well Clavum es is Latin for Nail Art. I wanted to name my blog something sort of scientific, due to the fact I am a scientist, so I decided to give nail art a scientific name. Most scientific names are in Latin, so I simply translated nail art and the name stuck.

Now straight into some nail art as after all, this is a nail art blog.
